Human Resource Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing HR objectives, goals, and system development to support continuous improvement effort
  • Assist in developing an employee handbook; enforce policies and procedures
  • Develops and conducts hiring process from start to finish, including but not limited to interviewing pre-screen candidates, coordinating interviews with management, background and drug checks, and orientation/onboarding
  • Partners with leadership on employee engagement activities; plans and organizes these activities including birthday celebrations, recognition programs, and holiday events
  • Manage and communicate all employee benefits programs to all employees
  • Maintains records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, corrective actions, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
  • Enforce employment laws and their practical applications in the workplace, including but not limited to EEO, FMLA, HIPPA, ADA, etc.
  • Develop and administer employee onboarding and orientation programs
  • Develop and manage performance management, employee engagement, and development programs
  • Stay current with HR best practices

Safety Responsibilities

  • Executes Corporate Safety Policies and participates in the development of facility-specific procedures for compliance with established standards
  • Assists in the development, design, and delivery of safety training for all employees and temporary employees
  • Working with management and consulting firms to develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientations and ongoing safety education
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures
  • Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, including OSHA logs and safety meeting minutes
  • Lead and facilitate regular safety meetings
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations
  • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies
  • Stay current with changes in safety regulations
